Mookler

Mookler is a very sweet 4 year old male ferret.
He has a small cataract in his one eye which the vet does not believe will progress, but he is otherwise perfectly healthy. Mookler loves playing with people, though he can get a bit carried away so we suggest using puppets and teaser toys for play. He is great at tag, too. Mookler seems fine with other animals however he does NOT seem to be a fan of other ferrets. He would do best as a single ferret. The best thing about Mookler is that unlike most other ferrets, he actually loves cuddles and being packed around! He is also very good on a harness and loves outdoor adventures. Mookler would be an excellent ferret for a first time ferret owner.

Tic Tac and Peppermint ***permanent fosters - health issues***

This pair of friendly, happy, playful ferrets is waiting for their forever home. They are good with other ferrets, cats, dogs and kids! They are about 3-5 years old and still have a lot of life left in them. Peppermint is a lovely small DEW female, and TicTac is a larger cinnamon male.
***MUST BE ADOPTED AS A PAIR***

Peanut and Pistachio *** adoption pending

These two sweet boys are approximately 1 year old. They are friendly, happy little fellows looking for a loving forever home. Both boys are social and enjoy attention.

They love stashing toys - rubber and stuffed - love their soupies and are willing to try a variety of foods so would likely take to raw eating fairly easily.

Both ferrets are fine with other animals and would likely take to a new ferret friend with proper introductions.

*ADOPTED* Dot, Smudge, Tips and Nibbler

This group of four were transferred to us by ABC Ferret Rescue in Maple Ridge when their founder was forced to shut the rescue down due to her health. They are all about 3-4 years old.

Smudge (Male, mostly white), Tips (Female, Chocolate with white toes) and Dot (Female, white with grey tail) are all very friendly. We suspect that Nibbler (Female, DEW) was handled very roughly at some point in her life as she is tense and fearful in new situations and may fear bite. Once she realizes that she is safe and does not need to defend herself, she is friendly and happy.

They fab four can be adopted together or can be split in to two as their foster mom has found that Nibbler and Dot have become quite closely bonded, and Tips and Smudge are also BFFs.

Given their age and unknown history, their adoptive homes must be aware of adrenal disease and willing to get annual supralorilen implants for their ferret to keep the condition under control should they notice symptoms presenting.

CANNOT BE ADOPTED AS SINGLES

*Nibbler has fear issues but we are working to overcome them

Lola and Simon ***ADOPTED***

Lola and Simon are back in our care as their adopters ended up being too busy with new jobs.

Lola and Simon are a bonded pair that love each other a lot. Lola is a small female sable ferret 3-4 years old. Simon is a cinnamon male 1-2 years old.

They are very friendly with humans, and get along with some ferrets - so long as the ferrets are either not too overwhelming, or their adopter is willing to do a gradual introduction. Both are very sweet and playful, and Lola will be sure to point out any gaps in ferret-proofing - she can scale ferret gates in SECONDS - a very impressive feat!

SIMON IS GOOD WITH OTHER FERRETS

MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER/ CANNOT BE SEPARATED

SIMON DOES NOT LIKE CATS

ADOPTED - Twix and Skittles (ongoing rehabilitation)

Twix is a 6-8 month old female, and Skittles is approx 1.5 years old. They came in distressingly thin and extremely frightened of people. They are gaining weight and becoming more trusting - their foster home is working hard to help them get over their fear of humans and their habit of fear biting, and then will start to work on nip training. If all goes well, this pair will be available to the right home in 2-3 months. The home must be willing to continue to work with them on their behaviour using positive reinforcement and training techniques only.

ADOPTED - Panda and Zoomies

A pair of females - approximately 8-10 months old. These girls are full of energy and curiosity, and would love a home to give them oodles of attention and, above all, play time! They are good with other ferrets and have lived with kids in the past. As they are still young, they may be a little grabby at times when they are really excited, but are otherwise very well behaved. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
